If the term “Renaissance Man” were to have any meaning to modern man, Anthony Bass would embody the definitive traits. Anthony is an ardent entrepreneur of Arts, Language and Education. Anthony’s keen curiosity about the learning process of children, and his natural commitment to his children’s education and care, led him to found Hopscotch LLC, which has as its mission, the importance of ethnic diversity in education and the introduction of Preschool age children to the wonders of foreign language study and travel.
His search for appropriate language study books to supplement a foreign curriculum for educators around the world, inspired Anthony to collaborate with Italian-born Tiziano Cherubini to coauthor an exceptional series of language study books aimed at preschool and elementary age children. They realized that the books had to be colorful, humorous and exciting to enchant and challenge young linguists. From this beginning “Maxwell In Italy”, was born. It is no surprise that Maxwell resembles both of Anthony’s two living sons. While “Maxwell In Italy” is currently available in print, a second book in the Maxwell series is in development, “Maxwell In France”. Though not surprising, considering Anthony’s entrepreneurial spirit, a Language CD incorporating our friend Maxwell is being planned as this Renaissance Man’s upcoming project. It is advisable to watch for this new author’s upcoming works. They will certainly be exciting and original. |
