Jennifer Meyer is a young painter who works, lives and creates in the Kansas City Metro area. She has earned a Bachelor of Fine Art with an emphasis in painting that has aided her in creating energetic, mixed-media paintings. She paints with an unconscious method, spontaneously applying whimsical images, yet cautiously attaching thick rich oil paint, fabric, found objects, charcoal, marker, and anything else that will complete the balance and mood of her vibrant pieces.
Jennifer has taken a few of her large-scale paintings and carefully transforms each piece individually to create a whole new medium that is rewarding in a completely new manner. Jennifer alters visual and physical aspects of the print such as size, shape, hue, and density. The works are truly distinctive, yet retain the mood of the original. The images are printed on canvas, which allows the art to take on the look and feel of a real painting while remaining affordable. Jennifer limits the printing to a very small print series to preserve the uniqueness of her art.
