Evanport was founded in the fall of 2003.  The name Evanport comes from two thoughts. The “Evan” part of the word is in memory of the son my wife and I lost due to late term pregnancy complications. Even though he is not here with us, his name being a part of the company is another way of keeping his memory alive in the world. The “port” comes from our theme of the old-world merchants traveling to the various ports of the world looking to trade the crafts and products that talented artisans created.

Since being founded we have worked with various talents here in the U.S. and around the world in getting their creative works ready for launch or re-launch in 2004. More than an import/export company, more than a traditional ecommerce company, Evanport is just as much a marketing company. We are constantly searching the world for creative, unique and high-quality items. We are focused on bringing high-quality creations and products to your door.

We enjoy working with the individual authors, artists and designers, hoping our collaborations will bring a unique design, picture, photograph, or product that is not what you would find in a department or discount store. We work with the authors, designers and artists in the development of their products as well as positioning in the marketplace. Many of the items listed on our site are handcrafted, and thus one-of-a-kind works, especially with regard to the jewelry.

Our focus is on bringing our customers the books, jewelry, art and leather we are proud to put our name behind.
